To achieve the highest returns on corporate development, it is crucial to keep a watchful eye on the latest market trends, specifically with regards to learning and development (L&D), to get a factual view in order to understand the gaps and facilitate development in areas to be improved.
L&D is part and parcel of corporate success and global market trends show how seriously this aspect of talent management is being taken up by big names in the corporate world. At the same time, we can’t help wonder as to why year after year of numerous trainings do not bring out the best in employees, with similar needs hovering around the organisational development professionals every other season.
Being a training, development and consulting firm, we aim to conduct a survey in Pakistan that undertakes views on the role and purpose of the L&D function as well as the latest trends in L&D, learning technologies, leadership development, talent management, development of L&D professionals, and assessing the impact of L&D activity while focusing on training efficiency and return on investment.
The project has been inspired by an annual survey titled “Learning and Development”, conducted for the last 17 years by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), London, a professional body for HR and people development. The CIPD surveys, meant for organisational development professionals, highlight trends in L&D practice and the broader learning landscape over the years.
